We have come a long way since the suffragette movement of 1908, and we still have strides to make. The suffragettes chose the colours purple, white and green to distinguish them in their political movement. We honour their choices.
Purple is a royal colour that represents dignity;
White represents the strength of sisters working together;
Green represents the hope for a better future.
